This is done by identifying underperforming assets and re-assess the strategy to either improve the performance or hive it off. TPC is endowed with a team of professionals who have scouted scores of opportunities all around the globe and are in a pivotal position to advise and recommend attractive portfolios. We act as a conduit between the buyer and the seller and try to get the best deal for both. We undertake the entire techno-commercial analysis and only when we are satisfied, we take the opportunity to the buyer. We categorize the portfolios in to various Risk-Reward classes and the guiding factor has always been the risk appetite of the client.
Most established E & P operators are hiving out their small & marginal fields. While these may not be financially attractive for large companies due to higher overhead expenses and margins in comparison with more lucrative portfolios in their pool, the same may be financially attractive for small companies.
We assist clients in techno-commercially assessing every opportunity and advising them in all the phases of a project starting with short-listing of opportunities to preparation of bids as well as technical assistance post allotment.
Data Room Review:
• Short-Listing of opportunities (Initial screening)
In data rooms where several opportunities are available, an initial screening exercise is done. Data room visit to review the information and assess the production and reserves potential of each field/block resulting in short-listing and prioritization for further evaluation & farm-in consideration. Post due diligence evaluation of each asset opportunities are ranked and prioritized primarily guided by techno-economic considerations. While short listing, apart from technical merits, client’s strategic requirement is also kept in focus. Since we believe in long term relationship we conduct these reviews free of cost and invoice the client only for travel, stay and allowances during the period of review.
• Detail review:
Once the client is interested in a detailed analysis of the prioritized blocks, a complete technical assessment including Geological model, Petroleum system, Seismic interpretation, Petrophysical Analysis, Resource/Reserve Estimation and study of production potential from the existing wells will be taken up by an expert team with vast experience. We then prepare a technical bid for submission. We also help in preparation of commercial bids.
Post Allotment, we can associate with the client in delivering the full potential of the asset by preparing a complete exploration/Appraisal/development plan.
